VCT Floor Maintenance

Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT), is a durable flooring product used in industrial and commercial buildings. Designed to withstand high levels of foot traffic, VCT requires professional attention in order to maintain durability.

Daily usage breaks down the polymers in the factory-applied protective layer of VCT. This layer is only designed to protect the floor for a few days while the gluing agents cure properly. Once the floor is cured, this protective layer must be stripped off and an appropriate wax re-applied. Daily usage and maintenance eventually break down the protection provided by the wax. Therefore, regular maintenance and professional upkeep are essential to prolonging the life of VCT and protecting the investment of the business owner.

The job was done in a timely manner, by a very courteous technician who came in and explained what he was doing, then went about getting the job done. After a thorough pre-vacuum he got out a rotary extractor that did an amazing job at the high traffic areas and stains in my carpet.
